Measuring manpower

We have found the definition for horsepower and therefore have came to the conclusion that a good idea would be to use that definition in order to find a good value for manpower. One horsepower means how much a horse can lift 1 metre during one second, which is 75 kg. Tomorrow, we have decided to go to norrängsgården and see how many kilograms we can lift one metre in one second on a barbell. According to wikipedia, a horsepower is about 10 times greater than what a normal man can bear, so the expected value for manpower is about 7,5 kg.

We have also thought about trying to push a wagon and see how heavy it could be.
